Free Bausch and Lomb MultiFocal

November 10, 2008 by Bryan

Bausch Free - Cheaplander.comI know what you’re thinking fellow Cheaplanders: “God, more free stuff posts. Isn’t this guy ever going to write anything truly useful?”

At the risk of alienating more of my RSS subscribers, I have to say that the cheap reviews and free thingie posts will continue. Mostly because they take 50 gazbillion times less time to write. But I’m actually shooting for a variety on the blog. Hopefully, it will eventually be 50% reviews, 50% free posts and 50% useful articles.

This, of course, adds up to 100% Cheaplander. Haha.

Anyhow, back to the freebie. Bausch & Lomb is offering a free trial pair of “multi-focal” contact lenses for those people with Presbyopia. No, that’s not a short-sighted disease of the Elvis Presley variety. It’s just the need for reading glasses. While it’s probably likely that many people reading this aren’t needing it yet, these sound interesting. They’re multi-focal lenses that let you use just that one pair both for distance and for reading.

Wait a minute, didn’t Ben Franklin invent bifocals in like 1780? Oh well, I’m sure these are technologically superior in some way…

Just a clarification to your post, I checked the linked page and the trial offer isn’t for glasses, it’s for contact lenses. Basically, these are the trifocal version of contacts, if I understand things correctly.

@john - you’re right - boy I need to learn to read the fine print more carefully! I’ve updated the post (the Ben Franklin ending now makes absolutely no sense, hehe)
